GREAT HOTELS OF THE WORLD APPOINTS SVEN RAKOWSKI TO ITS REGIONAL SALES OFFICE, REPRESENTING THE GROWING PORTFOLIO IN GERMANY, AUSTRIA AND SWITZERLAND

Great Hotels of the World (GHOTW), the renowned international hotel soft-brand representing some 50 independent hotels around the world, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sven Rakowski to its regional Sales Office, covering the  German, Austrian and Swiss markets.

GHOTW provides its member hotels with additional revenue streams from key international markets, including UK, Germany, USA and Scandinavia. Focusing on Corporate, MICE and group Leisure business, it has built up a valuable network of over 3,000+ agencies and 140+ corporate accounts worldwide, through its own GDS code (GW) and corporate sales services. Its digital marketing services enable hotels to pivot rapidly, optimizing their own websites and booking engines, via complimentary Google Hotel Ads and metasearch options.

Sven will lead the brand’s efforts to boost sales in the German-speaking market as it opens up to international travel, providing hotels with cost-effective access to key agencies and players, through a well-crafted Sales Action Plan composed of curated face to face events, personal sales calls to key accounts and virtual sales events.

To the role, Sven brings a wealth of international sales experience, business relationships, and in-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry – spanning 5* hotels in Dubai and Prague as well as internationally recognized brands like Movenpick and Kempinski.
