GHOTW Appoints Maria Yacoub to Global Sales Director

December, 2019  Great Hotels of the World, the global sales and marketing representation company for upscale independent hotels, is delighted to announce the appointment of Maria Yacoub as the new Global Sales Director.

Maria Yacoub, who will be based in London, will be responsible for the UK outbound market  – a key market for the majority of GHOTW’s member hotels. She will be using her extensive expertise in sales of upscale international hotels to the UK market, and her well-developed knowledge of international markets to enhance the company’s renowned services and proactively increase the portfolio’s visibility and reach, representing the collection at key industry trade shows around the world, as well as organizing and managing GHOTW flagship events where members are given exclusive opportunities to showcase their properties directly to carefully selected and targeted buyers.

Prior to joining GHOTW, Maria Yacoub was the Global Sales Manager UK at Melia Hotels within the MICE segment and part of Global Sales for six years. Throughout this period, she developed a strong professional network within the industry that includes premiere MICE agencies, events organizers, corporate buyers and travel trade media.
