GHOTW Take on the German Speaking Market

Rellingen, 09. April 2019 (eyes2market) Great Hotels of the World (GHOTW), one of the world’s leading independent hotel brands, are investing heavily in the German-speaking market. Specialized in the MICE (Meetings Incentives Conferences and Events) market, the collection of some 60 upscale, largely independent hotels aims to increase its brand awareness in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, as well as to attract new hotel members to the portfolio.

Great Hotels of the World provides its hotel members with a full suite of Sales and Marketing Services, enabling them to compete with the larger brands: Group lead generation and Group Desk; MICE Sales Events; Corporate Sales and GDS Connectivity; Distribution; world class hotel technology; and PR, Marketing and Social media services in key markets.

Great Hotels of the World was established in the UK in 2004 and, under new owner GuestCentric, a hotel technology company, is now branching out into other markets, such as Germany.

In 2019, GHOTW welcomed new hotels and destinations into the select portfolio, for whom Germany is an important target market: Spain, Greece, Morocco, Portugal, Brazil and an exclusive island resort in the Philippines.

As a ramp up to its own Sales events, this year GHOTW has already taken part in ICJ’s Munich MICE Buyers event in March and will be exhibiting at IMEX Frankfurt in May. It has expanded its Group Desk for the German speaking market and is rolling out in Germany the successful Meet-Up MICE Sales Events, for which it is renowned.

The first two Meet-Up MICE buyer events will take place in June, in Munich and Hamburg. Further events and sales calls to MICE agencies throughout Germany are also planned for this year.
